Initially, the fly shows wisdom by resisting all temptations that the spider offers her, but when the spider makes false praise of her beauty, she falls for it, gets trapped and loses her life.

Tempted by the flattering words of the spider, the fly wanted to have a look of her beauty in the spider’s mirror. Lost in her thoughts about her beauty, she drew closer and closer to his den, where the spider was waiting. He jumped and caught her, and dragged her into his den, where he dined on her.
